Happy October! This is such a fun and exciting time in adolescent life. Filled with jack o'lanterns, smores and best of all Trick or Treats. All of the excitement of getting dressed up in their favorite costumes, tasty snacks, and seeing all of the cool and spooky halloween decorations is a joyous experience for many kids. Let's ensure that they are safe and supervised while they are out having a blast. Here are some of our spooky safety tips!
Please check all treat bags. Some houses will give things like small toys. For our tiny superheroes and princesses that may chew on things that aren't food, we should keep those
separate from edible snacks.
Beware of scary sensory overload. Headphones can be a great way to avoid the kids from getting overwhelmed by loud noises in crowds.
For our very precious vampires, let's bring a flashlight in case they may not be able to see too well when the sun goes down.
Safety spells! Create a safety phrase between you and your apprentice wizards. Be sure to practice the right response at home!
Trunk or treats! They provide a closer and safer environment than going from house to house.
Happy October and have a spooktastic holiday!
